Project Description:

City along the Tramways – “From local street market to international financial market”, is jointly organized by New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (NLPRA) and Hong Kong Architecture Centre, for a group of people in recovery (PIR). Led by the Docents of HKAC, the participants can explore and appreciate the beauty of architecture in Sheung Wan and Central from different perspectives on a tram. After that, the Archi-walk in Central Market is also arranged so they can learn more about the architectural features and history of this new landmark.

Description how the project contributes with humanity:

In 2020, the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association brings the artworks from people in recovery (PIR) to the world through the gift330 project. Themed with ‘eat’, ‘travel’ and ‘living’, PIR’s art pieces are transformed to lifestyle products and their creativity are being connected with our society and lives.

With a first-hand and refreshing experience of the dynamic changes of warmth, space and buildings and structures along the tram route, as well as the Archi-walk in Central Market led by HKAC docents, we anticipate that PIR can create extraordinary art pieces that are full of new inspirations for the coming gift330 project.
